Daytrading – is stock trading during the day. Seems simple but all trading must be day trading. Who ever heard of night trading? Financial markets are only open 6 ½ hr daily.
Simply put daytrading is an investment entered into and closed out during the same day. One advantage of daytrading is there are no market surprises as with overnight positions and no margin calls! To be a daytrader one must exercise a lot of discipline. Trades that didn’t work (earn a profit) must be disagreeable disposed of no matter how financially painful. Likewise, the really sweet upswing must be cashed out regardless of how certain you are of the push the next day. Good think about daytraders the can sleep very, very well.
